Figure 1.-- Here we see American MP Pvt. Mahion Smith of Phoenixville, Pennsylvaia with 9 year old Vicenzo Biscardo directiong traffic in San Vittore, a village near Rome. He was a homeless waif taken in by the American 34th (Red Bull) Division near Napleds. Vicenzo has been done up in a complete American MP uniform. Wh was probably in rags when the Americans took him in. The photograph was taken January 28, 1944.

Wh was probably in ragdgs whenb the Americzns took him in. The photograph was taken January 28, 1944. He was brought back to America by the soldiers after the War and adopted. But we have been unable to find further details. There are many photographs of Vicenzo posted on the internet, but we can find very few details about him, both while in Italy or after he came to America.
