There is a V collar, but not a pronounced one, covered by a good sized bow. There is also a white collar. The bow suggests the earky-80s to us rather than the late-70s. There are stripes everywhere, even on the knee pants. The knee pants are shorter than we commonly see in the 70s, another indicator of the 1880s.
