Here we are on holiday in Cornwall again (August 1964). Still the same green shorts, but I've started growing at last! I'm sailing a boat in a tidal pool created by the sandbar across Porthluney Cove. This sandbar is formed by winter storms; most of the river which flows across the beach runs straight down, but part runs behind the sandbar, so there's plenty of water for making a pool if you dam it. Great fun for kids of all ages - my sons enjoyed it as much as I did.
