An unidentified student at the school has left some phtographs of the school and his family. One photograph shows the family with what looks to be his little sister. They are in a city park feeding deer. He seems to come from a well-to-do family. The father wears a smart suit. Mother is dressed in a kimono. This was common at the time. Men were much more likely to wear westrern dress. The family name may be indicated in some of the writing on the back of the photographs. The boy who is the student may have taken the snapshot.
A reader has helped with the translation. "On right column: Nara (a well-known ancient city, 30km south of Kyoto), spring day, public park (with more than 700 deers!), xx (person name?). On left column: 11, 11, 3 Perhaps child age is 3? But why 11 and 11?" We are notsure, but one way of indicating dates was the years of the Emprror's reign. Emperor Hirohito's reign is refrred to as the Shōwa era, from December 25, 1926 to January 7, 1989. This would date the photographt to 1936.
