Tamagawa Gakuen (Academy): Elementary School Summer Uniform

Figure 1.--The school has a very informal summer uniform, at least for the boys. Substantial parts of the Japanese archgepeligo have warm climates. The 1st and 2nd graders wear a whuite cap. They boys wear a collared sports shirt that does not have to be tucked in with short pants with white knee socks. The girls wear a light-weight summer dress, also with white knee socks. The boy's outfit hardly looks like a uniform especially with shorts that are not tucked in. Light weight summrr dresses for the girls, in contrast, are commonly worn in many countries as a school uniform outfit.
