The „Bamberger Domchor“ is first mentioned in 1255 and was founded by bishop Heinrich von Bilversheim at the cathedral of Bamberg in Frankonia, now Bavaria. In 1932 they had their first broadcast on radio. Their conductor is Werner Pees now. I don't know when they adopted their uniform. New choirboymemebers often sing their first service on Palmsunday. It appears to be a relatively small choir. The Dom in black is on their red pullovers as well as on the golden medals. I don't know exactly but I think that the red pullovers are either worn by younger choir members and/or on travels and the ecclesiastical costume at service. But as I've seen pictures with BOTH singing together they are more likely mixed. There is also an associated girls choir called “Mädchenkantorei am Bamberger Dom”.
