Individual Japanese Choirs: Other Choirs

Figure 1.--Here is an informal photograph of a Japanese choir before a performance. We think this may be the Tokyo FM Boys Choir. They wear green "T" shirts, I think with the choir name

There appear to be a number of Japnese Boys' Choirs. I have not yet, however, succeded in collecting much information about them. Language of course is a big problem when working on Japan. We have also found some images which we believe to be Japanese choral groups, but we can not identify several of them or find information about them. Hopefully our Japanese readers will point out addituinal choirs to us and help us identify the ones that are not familiar to us.

A reader has provided us a very formal portrait of a Japanese choir giving a performance in an elaborate room. We are not sure about the name of the choir. It may be a college (private school) choir. The crest on their blazers should help us eventually identtify the choir. All we know is that the portrait was taken in 1999. For some reason the boys have balls which seems a bit out of place n such a formal portrait. The boys wear double-breasted blue suits with red bow ties. The younger boys wear log pants with white socks. The older boys wear blue suits. Hopefully our Japanese readers will help us identify the choir. We know nothing about the choir. The formal setting and uniform rather suggests that they might do classical music.
