Figure 1.--We know nothing about this portrait except that it was titled "Infant Lisant" and that it was dated in 1787. This maeans that it was painted in France, presumably Paris. I am not sure, but Lisant may be the boy's name.

I am not sure, but Lisant may be the boy's name. As was common in the 1780s, the boy has long hair abd wears a reffuled open collar.
