He looks to be about 10 years old. He wears a jacket-like shirt with a good-sized Eton collar and stock.

This of course helps study the subject. American dags ans ambros often had tables in the portrait. The boy here looks to be about 10 years old. He wears a jacket-like shirt with a good-sized Eton collar and stock. Both the collar and stock are larger than we note in America at the time. His hair is quite long, almost covering his ears. The hair seems slightly longer than was common in America.
