Fauntleroy suits and ringlets
Figure 1.-- Here we have cabinet card studioportrait of Archer Davis. He is peobably about 5 years old, although his face is a little older. The portrait is not dated, but it is one of the bew styled cabinet cards that appeared at the turn-of-the 20th century. most likely 1900-05. Archer wears a classic Little Lord Fauntleroy suit-- a cut-away jacket and fancy blouse. He also has long perfectly formed Fauntleroy curls which mother has carefully positoned to be best seen in the portrait. The studio waS Graham in Titusville, Pennsylvania.

The portrait is not dated, but it is one of the bew styled cabinet cards that appeared at the turn-of-the 20th century. most likely 1900-05. We see many such portraits in the 1880s and 90s, but by the turn-of-the 20th century, Fauntleroy outfits and ringlet curls had begun to decline in popularity. Many of the new style mounts did not bave studio information, but this one had the studio information written on the back--Graham in Titusville, Pennsylvania.
