Harold Wearing a Sailor Cap and Coat (December 1905)

Harold Fitzroy-Carrington was photographed by himself in a coat around Christmas during December 1905. He looks to be about 8 years old. In this picture he is rather amused about the photograph. The photograph suggests a wonderful realtionship with his photographer father. Winter in New York can be quite cold. Here Harold wears a warm double breasted coat with a dark sailor cap. His mother clearly like headwear. Here he also wears his strking sailior cap with a chinstrap. It is rather large with a wonderful anchor embroidery. I am am not presisly sure what type of dailor cap it, but looks some what like a tam. Because of the coat you can not see what else Harold is wearing, but youbcan just see his above the knee white knickers. It was possibly another tunic suit. All you can see are his dark long stockings, but here he is wearing hightop shoes. He also wears very tight fitting leather gloves.
