They are on some kind of family outing about 1920 when Frans was about 10 or 11 years old. They seem dressed up for some special occassion. This looks to be some kind of park or restaurant. Both boys wear short pants suits with black long stockings.

They are on some kind of family outing about 1920 when Frans was about 10 or 11 years old. They seem dressed up for some special occassion. This looks to be some kind of park or restaurant. Both boys wear short pants suits with black long stockings. The Norfolk suits the boys are wearing seem rather rumpeled compared to the snapshots of the other suits we see Frans wearing. The image here is interesting because while the boys are wearing long stockings, the young ladies are rather adventerous in showing their legs. You would not have seen that before the War in the 1910s.
