Figure 1.--This portrait is of Howard Lowe, taken in Paterson, New Jersey, about 1921. Howard seems to have been William's younger brother, but we are not entirely sure. This is a confirmation photograph, notice the white flower in his button hole and psalm book. He wears a belted double-breasted dark suit with Norfolk styling.

Howard Lowe (United States, 1921)

This portrait is of Howard Lowe, taken in Paterson, New Jersey, about 1921. Howard seems to have been William's younger brother, but we are not entirely sure. This is a confirmation photograph, notice the white flower in his button hole and psalm book. He wears a belted double-breasted dark suit with Norfolk styling. With it he wears a white shirt, white tie, and white detachable collar. His suit has matching above-the-knee knickers, long black stockings, and hightop black shoes. Howard also wears a white handkerchief in his breast pocket. The photo seems to have taken when Howard was about 14, the usual age for confirmation.
