Figure 1.--This cabinet portarit shows Corneal Murphy. He looks to be about 5-6 years old, although this is a little difficult to tell. All that we know for sure is that his portrait was taken in Bagor, Maine. The clothes and the portrait mount with pinking suggest to us that the Corneal's portrait was taken about 1890. He wears a wide-brimmed hat and Little Lord Fauntleroy outfit. It is a mid-range color and a collar-buttoning but not a classic cut-away jacket. He has a large white ruffled collar and matching cuffs, but no floppy bow.

We are confused, however, but what looks like a floppy bow half way down his jacket. One fancy element is a long sash. He wears knee oants with what look like black long stockings. The studio is Weston in Bangor.
