Czechoslovakian Boys' Clothes: Garments--Trousers


Figure 1.-- The snapshot here was taken in 1935, and shows two Czech children, probably siblings, eating rasberries or some seasonal fruit. The boy is about 11 years old, his sister seems to be about 10. I'm not sure which is the elder child, but they are close in age. The boy wears a short-sleeved knit sports shirt buttoned at the collar. Click on the image for a more detailed discussion.

We have seen Czech boys wearing knee pants, short pamts, long pants, and now the modern style of baggy pants. Shortpants seem to habe been popular in the early and mid-20th century. The were often worn with either kneesocks or long stockings.
