Individual Egyptian Boys: Faouzi (1960s)

Figure 1.--We do not yet have much information on individuals in Egypt. We do note a book published in France about a boy named Faouzi in the 1960s. Note his knitted cap.

We do not yet have much information on individuals in Egypt. We do note a book published in France about a boy named Faouzi in the 1960s. The photograps were taken by Dominique Darbois and published in Faouzi: Boy of Egypt (France, 1965). The book describes in text and photographs the everyday life of an Egyptian village boy. We can't see much of his clothing here, but we bote his knitted cap. I'm not sure if a cap like that had any practical purpose. There is no brim to provide shade.
