Figure 1.-- Here we see four children from an affluent city family, two boys and tyree girls. Unfortunately the family is unidentified. We do not even know the city. wr can assume that they are standing in front of their home. The children look about 5-15 years old. The two older girls, one with riglets, are wearing matching dresses and hats. That was more common with younger children. The two younger children have props. The little girls wears a white dress and bonnet. Her brother rides a great pedal car. The boys wear knickers suits with small floppy bows.

Here we see four children from an affluent city family, two boys and tyree girls. Unfortunately the family is unidentified. We do not even know the city. We can assume that they are standing in front of their home. It looks like quite an extensive home. The children look about 5-15 years old. The two older girls, one with ringlets, are wearing matching dresses and hats. That was more common with younger children. The two younger children have props. The little girls wears a white dress and bonnet. Her brother rides a great pedal car. The boys wear knickers suits. We st first thoughtthery were knee psnts suits, but on closer examination they look more like knickers. Both boys wear small floppy bows. One boy wears a single-breadted suit, the older brother a double-breasted suit. The boys' knickers help us date the photograph to the late-1900s or early-1910s. The bows rather than ties suggest it was ot the late-1910s. All the chilldren wear long stockings.
