United States Boys' Clothes: Texas Suburban Siblings (1965)

Figure 1.-- Here we see three siblings, two brothers and a sister. It is clearly some where in suburban America. We are not sure just where. We do know that the snapshot was taken in 1965. We are not sure just what is going on here. The children are dressed rather strangely in an odd asortment of clothes.

Here we see three siblings, two brothers and a sister. It is clearly some where in suburban America. We are not sure just where. All we know about the snapshot is that it was taken somewhere in Texas dyring 1965. We are not sure just what is going on here. A reader writes, "These children look as though they are playing a game. Their clothes suggest they are playing some grown-up roles. The two children riding in the wagon may be pretending to be husnband and wife, and the boy pulling the wagon may be wearing the tie to look like the driver or chauffeur. Something on that order." The children are dressed rather strangely in an odd asortment of clothes. The older boy is dressed up with a Western tie, white shirt, and dress grey shorts. The younger children wear play clothes with their parents hats.
