While it may look like three girls here, HBC is fairly confodent that there are two boys here. The short hair and belted tunic are strong indficators that the boy younger child is a boy. The image is European, but we are unsure about the nationality. It was with some German images, but HBC believes it may be Italian. There are few clues as to nationality, other than the ethnic appearance of the children.

No information is available on the date this portrait was taken. Some of the clothing, including the hair bows, belted tunic, boy's boots, and older boy's white bows suggest to the authors that this portrait was taken about 1900-1905.

Gender

HBC is fairly sure about the gender. Almost surely there were two boys and two girls. The younger child's short hair, boyish looks, and belted-tunic (rather than a dress) strongly sugges that he is a boy.

Hair Styles

The boys have similar short hair cuts, although their outfits are different. The girls both have long hair and hairbows, although their hair is styled differently. The younger girl's hair is done in ringlets.

The image is European, but we are unsure about the nationality. It was with some German images, but HBC believes it may be Italian.
