One of the fascinating aspects of prep schools like any school is of course the children. We have slected some captivating images of the children as they go about their daily routein. We not happy and sad children. Some having a good laugh and others deep in thought. We would love to give the children a penny for their thoughts. We notice others completely abosorbed in a book or other activity. These an many other experiences and emotions are all part of the daily life at any prepschool. Some of these images are posed with the children having fun getting their photograph taken. Other images are candid portraits with the children oblivious to our photographic activities.

Other images are candid portraits with the children oblivious to our photographic activities. Some of these images have come out as intraging case stidies. Often it is difficult gto understand just why solme of these imasges are so appealing.

Roles

The students have different roles at the schools. The younger children begin as students without any real responsibility. As they advance in the school they are given moter responsibility. The older children as prefects assume some resoponsibility for running the school and looking outg for the younger children. There are also other roles such as helping with the library or tuck store. Many children also represent the school in games or other inter-school competions. Some children, often but not always the prefects, help esport visiors aroind the schools. Schools vary as to taks assigned. At one school taking care of an elderly retired master's dogs was a coveted respinsibility. Some children m,ay serve as monitors in the classroom if the master is temporarily called away.
