Fine Arts: Art--Popularity

Figure 1.--.

Art classes are enjoyed by almost all the children. Art like the other fine arts is both a curriculum subject as well as a popular activity for the children. Most schools open the art room for the periodic afternoon activity/club program. All children of course enjoy art and the purose of the art program is to acquint the children with a wide range of artistic formats. Often the art room is made available to the children to use in their free time.

Art and Craft

The Art Department hs had a fine year. The overll standard of work has improved and this was apparent in two exhibitions, one at the Denman Library, Reford, and the other at Bothamsall Church. Throughout the year the general response to art has been good. Many children enjoy the subject very much, as they use the art room extensively in their free time. Even some dayboarders were persuaded to stay at least one evening a week to persue their chosen field! ...."
