While drama does not get the same attention as music and art, it not only a popular activity with the children, but an actvity of considerable value. Probably the most important is the confidence children build in appearing before an audience. School plays also provide outlets for other skills such as art, music, lighting, and sound systems.
Drma is considered to be important not only because it develops self-confidence, but also because the profuction of the annual school play involves a large number of boys in the construction and paintging of scenery, the arrangement of lighting, and the creation of costumes.
