While we have no evidence of battles before Tell Hamoukar, there is plenty of evidence that battles were being fought because of the discovery of weaponry. A particularv interesting archeological find has occurred in modern Isrel--the discovery of the mass production of weapons. 【Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA)】 This is sure evidence that battles were being fought. There is evidence that a factory existed to produce standrdized weapons. This is evidence of the highly organized activity to arm warriors in preoparation for battle. Hundreds of stone projectiles were discovered from two archeological sites (En Esur and En Zippori). What was being produced was sling stones. Thery were being produced to precise specifications (averging 52 mm long and 31 mm wide and weighing 60 grams) leading to stones with a biconical form, the best aerodynomical chracteristics for slining. This was occuring in the early Coopper Age.
