English Mail Order Catalogs with Boys Clothing: 1920s

Figure 1.--While the "Weldon's Boys' Wear" issue N°324 is undated, we know it was printed after World War I (1914-18). We believe the above the knee knickers shown here worn with kneesocks are a strong indication of the early 1920s. We believe that 1922 is the likely date.

Here we will archive English 1920s material that we can not specifically fate as to the year, but for which the decade can be determined. Normally we archive undated material in this general section for the decade. Here we have made an exception for the "Weldon's Boys' Wear" issue as we are farirly comfortable with our estimated date of 1922. W welcome comments by readers who may have some insights into dating the "Weldon's Boys' Wear" issue N°324.
