Britannia and Eve first appeared in 1926 as Eve, a self-described 'Lady’s Pictorial', while Britannia was printed throughout 1928. Eventually In 1929, the two magazines combined to become Britannia and Eve with the new tagline ‘A Monthly Journal for Men & Women’ printed in London. Britannia and Eve contained general news articles, as well as sections dedicated to fashion, home, and short stories. It is a great source of Art Deco illustrations and advertisements, which were often printed in color.
