Unidentified French Suits, 1930

Figure 1.--We have found illustrations of French boys' suits in 1930 for boys and youths. Unfortunately the source and associated ad copy is not available. We are not sure if it was a clothes catalog or some sort of fashion publication. The suits on the right look rather like tuxedos. Two are very formal suits, the other more casual. They included short pants and knickers. The short pants suit the younger boy is wearing might have been worn for first communion. The suit on the left might have been worn to school by a teenager.
