Here is an advertisement that appeared in a French magazine during 1975. The caption reads, "Ce n'est pas parce que les enfants bougen que les chaussettes doivent tomber." That means, "It is not because kids are moving that their socks have to be moving down." The ad copy under the illustration explains that Stemm socks, because they are made like a tube are molding the foot. When pulled on, they don't move. I don't recall socks like this being sold in America. I'm not sure about other countries. They are made in wool, cotton, orlon or Nylon. We also do not have any detailed information about the company. The ad appeared in the French magazine, Marie France (October 1975).
