Butterick also called them overalls and offered a range of stylistic options. Butterick described this one-piece romper suit as, "Child's rompers or overalls, with high or French round or square neck and either of two styles of one-seam full length sleeves or with shorter sleeves." Here we see one of the romper suits offered by Butterick (figure 1). It has a pointed collar done in contrasting matrial repeated in the waist belt. The romper suit buttoned in the back. These patterns were made to sell in the American market, but the company also tried to sell in Canada, Ltin America, and Europe. We notice some words in Spanish. The pattern includes details on how to sew the garment rather than fashion information. Piping was added as part of the detailing.
