Postcard Companies: NBC (Germany?)


Figure 1.--This NBC post card was not postally used. It probably dates to the early or mid-1920s, perhaps made in Germany. Note the ribbons at the hem.

We have no information on NBC cards at this time. The only one we have was not postally used. It looks to be from the early 1920s. The boy pictured wears lederhosen so NBC could have been a German company. The card here seems to suggest that mothers were dressing younger boys up in folk costumes in the 1920s. We do not know, however, just when this practice began.
