He provides us with many early color photographic images when as part of his job, he moved around Sweden during World War II and the post-war era (1943-early-50s). his involved business and holiday trips. Understanably, his major interest was landscape, buildings, and city street scenes. But the Swedish people are pictured in these images. This is a scene a Götgatan and Ringvägen in Stockholm during World War II (1943). It is only in 1943 that the possibility of a NAZI invasion began to receed.

He provides us with many early color photographic images when as part of his job, he moved around Sweden during World War II and the post-war era (1943-early-50s). His involved business and holiday trips. He used both Kodachrome and Agfacolor slide film. During and after the War, German Agfa film became difficult to obtain. Understandably, his major interest was landscape, buildings, and city street scenes. Here is an example of his street photogrphy (figure 1). In this case street photography means actual photographs of city streets, not portraits taking of induividuals on the streets rather than a studio. But the Swedish people are pictured in these images. They are some of the earlist Swedish color images. He also took pictures in Norway. This was a pivotal time in Norwegian and Swedish history because the two countries were recovering from the War and building both a welfare state and prosperous modern economy.
