We have not yet found many these serrated cards in the late-1890s. We have found a portrait of the Walgren children in 1898. We are taking this as an outlyer as we haved not yet found examples from 1896-97 and have no examples from 1898 or the 20th century. And the Walgreen cabinet card does not have the studio information which leads us to be a little suspicious as to the date. It could have been from a stock of blanks. As we acquire additional dated cards we will be able to refine our dating parameters.
