Farnham Grammar School Choir

Figure 1.--Here we see the Farnham Grammar School choir in 1950. The school had a uniform of white shirts. stripped ties, short pants, and kneesocks. Presumably there were also caps and blazers, but they are not wearing them. At many schools shorts were required for the junior boys. Click on the image to see the rest of the choir. I'm not sure why one of the boys is wearing long pants.

The school had a large choir. Some of the boys participating can be seen here in 1950 (figure 1). It seems to have been a popular school activity. We have no actual information avout the music they sang or where they performed. There look to be 70-80 boys involved. I think choir used to be more popular than the case a few years latter. We note smome of the choristers posing for the school Chridstmas card in 1960.
