Individual German Schools: Kornau Grundschule


Figure 1.-- Here we see the Kornau Grundschule (Primary School) in 1949. Kornau is a separate quarter of Oberstdorf, a Bavarian village. Oberstdorf is in Bavarian mountains, near the Austrian border. The boys wear typical clothing with lederhosen. Most are barefoot.

Here we see the Kornau Grundschule (Primary School) in 1949. Kornau is a separate quarter of Oberstdorf, a Bavarian village. Oberstdorf is in Bavarian mountains, near the Austrian border. The boys wear typical clothing with lederhosen with halters. May of the children wear jackets. Note the boys with Bavarian styled sweaters and jackets. Almost certainly they would be grey with green pipeing. Most of the children are barefoot. One boy wears white kneesocks. Many of thge girls wear pinafores and have pigtails.
