Unidentified Japanese Boarding School: Form Room (1930s)


Figure 1.--Here we see the boys in what seems to be some kind of form room. They look to be involved in some kind of leisure activities rather than studying..

This is another unidentified Japanese school. Here we see a formal portrait of what looks like a class group on the school grounds . We believe it was a boarding school in the 1930s, shortly before World War II. It may have been located near Nagoya. There is some writing on the photographs so we hopefully may be able to learn the name of the school. Another pgotograph shows the boys still in a class group in a more informal setting. They look to be in some kind of form room engaing in various leisure activities (figure 1). The boys seem about the sameage, about 15 years old.
