School Uniform: New Zealand--Individual Schools: Kneesocks


Figure 1.--These boys wear the everyday school outfit in 1998. Notice the different kneesocks, some with black and others with red top bands.

HBC has noted different styles of kneesocks. The standad kneesocks had multicolor bands at the top cuff. More recent photograps show boy with solid color red and black bands at the top cuff. I am not sure what this means. The school may be changing the official style of kneesock. Another oossibility is sports socks. Some schools had special knnsocks for games or sports.
