Aberdare Boys' County Grammar School: Uniform 1964

Figure 1.--This photograph shows the boys at the Aberdare Boys Grammar School in 1964. The first year boys were no longer required to wear short trousers.

The uniform in 1964 looks to be the same as in 1962. We note a few senior boys are not wearing blazers, but their own jackets. Another change is that the school no longer required the junior first year boys to wear short trousers. All of the boys are wearing long trousers in the 1964 portrait. Such a drastic change in just 2 years must have meant a rule was changed. We also notice that the boys' hairvstyles have begun to get a littlev longer by 1964.
