Figure 1.-- This class photograph at the Bilambil Public Schoolwas taken in 1970. It looks to be a small rural primary school. There is no uniform. The girls wear dresses. The boys wear open collared shirts and T-shirts with shorts. The children all seem to be barefoot.

Here we see an image of the Bilambil Public School. We do not know much about the school at this time. The image here looks to be a class portrait. So the school had several classes. This class photograph was taken in 1970. We are not yet sure where that is located. It looks to be a small rural primary school. There is no uniform. The girls mostly wear dresses, but one girl wears a shirt and shorts like the boys. This is about the time when girls began to wear shorts and long pants rather than dresses to school. The boys wear open collared shirts and T-shirts with shorts. The children all seem to be barefoot.
