We notice another British school, but we do not yet know the name of the school. We are also not sure if it was a day or boarding school. we do know that it was a coed school. Singapore is a city state, thus as far as we know, the only boarding schools were for British children during the colonial era. This is a British school that operated in Singapore. Note that there are no local Singapore students in the photograph on the previous page, but there looks to an Indian girl. Here there seem to be some Chinese sinapore students (figure 1). Other photographs suggest that were local students. We believe that after independence in 1965 or perhaps a little before the school policies changed. We are not sure when this photograph was taken, but would guess about 1960. The children appear to be involved in some kimd of measuring erercise. The boys wear white shirts, khaki shorts, and white socks.
