Figure 1.-- Here we see what looks like a 2nd Grade class in 1948. This is very representative as to how American children drssed for school at the time. The girls wear prim dresses. The boys wear shirts and what looks like jeans. This was about the time I began school and this is precisely how I recall that we dressed. We don't know the name of the school, but we know it was located in Ogden, Iowa.
