There are some sports that have become more like back yard play than actual competitive sports. There are some serious copetitions and we don't mean to demean the sports, but the vast majority of play is friendly backyard gamess and has the characteristics more of play than serious compeittive sports. The fact that both boys and girls play it toghther is play indicator. The two most common of these games are badminton. Badminton is a raquet game related to tennis. Badminton is a mallet game related to golf. Games based on shuttlecocks have been played for centuries across Eurasia,. The modern game of badminton evolved among expatriat Brits in India during the Raj O(mid-19th century). Croquet apears to have originated in France and was brought to the British Iales when during the Restoration, when Charles II and his court returned (1660-85). We notice in bing played in England (1870s). Both games are played by children and adults, often in a coed setting. Bdmotton requires a lottle older children than croquet to play. Tag
