Clothing and Costumes Worn by Child Actors: Ferreux Benoit (France, 1955- )

Figure 1.-- A photograph shows Ferreux Benoit with Malle, I think on the set of "Murmer of the Heat". Ferreux is smocking. He was probably old enough to legally smoke but the shorts make him look juvenile.

Ferreux Benoit played in "Murmer of the Heart" (1971) (Le Souffle Au Coeur) directed by Louis Malle. He was about 15 years old when he made the film, but 16 by the time the film was released. Ferreux played the main character who I believe was susposed to be about 13 years old. It was his first film, but Ferreux gave an excellent performance. He was the nephew of Jean-Louis Trintignant. I do not know any other films Ferreux did as a boy. He did do some films as a teenager and young adult. I am not familar with any of them. They include: "La messe doree" (France, 1973), "Violette Noziere" (France, 1977), "Escape to victoy (US, 1981) and "Five days of summer" (US, 1982).
