Spencer Griffith is a shy 7th-grader. No one pays much attention to him. A meteor falls on a local junkyard, Spencer finds a Cybersuit from a far away galaxy. Spencer's life is changed when he puts on the suit. He becomes very wise and incredibky strong. Joseph Mazzello plays Spencer. He wears contemprary American clothes. It was a decent film with good special effects and an (as usual) excellent performance by Joeseph Mazzello. In the film, he has recently suffered the loss of his mother, has been bullied at school, and does not get along with his sister. He finds the suit, which is actually an alien, and ends up fighting some alien bad guys. He becomes fielnds with the bully from school and become closer to his sister as a result. Joey Mazzello was one of the finest young actors of the 1990s. He has a wonderful ability to convey a number of honest emotions, especially the sadness boys feel at the 11-12 year old stage of their lives. He has a fine scene when he tearfully talks about his sadness at losing his mother to the alien. His exchanges with this alien while "inside" him make up the best parts of the film. The clothing was standand for the period.
