Once it was found that she was lying about the entire affair, the mainline media quickly tried to forget about her as soon as possible. But even worse for them, it then surfaced that her story was not about American intolerance when after disappearring she showed up in court with a shaved head. Suddntly it was Islamic intolerance that was on display. Her Egyptian immigrant parents had punished her by shaving her head like the French women who consorted with NAZIs. And the punishment was not for lying to police. Apprently that was acceptable to her parents. It was for daring to date a Catholic boy--in short pure religious intolerance. Not to mention the abuse of a young woman which is all too acceptable in the Islamic world, but should not be in America.

Left-wing politicians like New York Mayor Bill de Blasio and mainline media after Donald Trump entered the 2016 Presidential campaign began talking about a spike in hate crimes without offering any actualmstatistical evidence. This has become an obseession after Trump's surprise election victory. De Blasio and others have ignored the all to real spike in big city black on black killings caused by Black Lives Matters and others in the victimiztion industry, but are obsessed about the uncorroborated hate crime reports. The problem with this of course is that many of these reports are false. [Note that the mainline while charging the Republicans with fake neews media does not seem to mind fake news that supports their central narative of white privlige and racism.] The poster child for these false reports is Long Island teenager Yasmin Seweid, an 18-year old Muslim college student. She reported being attacked by white men yelling Trump slogans, calling her a terrotist, and trying to rip off her hijab on New York City subway (December 1, 2016). And what's more she charged that people on the subway who saw it refused to intervene in any way. This was a total inditement of Trump supporters, the people Clinton referred to as 'deplorables' (average Americans, Christians, white people) and adding in New York City residents in general. Of course with this cast of the usual suspects, the mainline media ran with the story giving in first page headline coverage and extensive air time. And all without any attempt at fact checking. Brian Williams apparently saw jumping on the PC band waggon as a way of reviving his tattere jornalistic reputation plaged by multiple lies. Nainline media ran the story with banner headlines and without the 'alledgely' they insist be attached to any reports of minorities being charged with crimes. One honest journalist, Pamela Geller, dared to raise doubts about Seweid’s story. "There is no video, no audio, no proof. Just her claims. Proof? Who needs proof? Muslims know that their claims of ‘Islamophobia’ run without challenge or investigation. It was, of course, front-page news in America and across the world. Dead victims of jihad terror don’t get this kind of press." The story proved to be a complete fabrication. It never occurred, none of it. The New York Police Department has charged Seweid with filing a false police report. But the story does not stop here. The mainline media has not run with the full story with any where near the massive atention they gave to Seweid's original false charges. The mainline media's motives were obviously political. Seweid's motives, however were not political -- they were religious and family related. This began to come out when she stunned the public by showing up in court with a shaved head (figure 1). Little of this of course gets reported in the mainline media because it does not conform to the narative left-wing politicans ans the mainline media want to promote of an evil, biased and racist America. The idea is to highlight Christian intolerance and supress reporting of Muslim intolerance and terrorism. Seweid parents claimed that she brought dishonor on the family--not for lying to the police, but for daring to date a Catholic boy. So to punish her, they shaved her head. You will not read much about this in the mainline media because the only bias and intolerance that comes out of the affair is -- Islamic intolerance. Thus the story needs to be supressed.

The American Left and the Main Line Media

Fake News

A new issue has emerged on the American political landscape -- fake news. Fake news of course is nothing new. It has suddenly become important as the left and he mainline media need to explain Ms. Clinton's crushing 2016 election loss in the presidential election. After years of peddling fake news like the 'hands up' lie or larg numbers of blacls are being mirdered by police, they are suddendly concerned about fake news. Note that the mainline media does not really mind fake news--they just object to not being the sole perveyor of the fake news. Of course what did in Ms. Clinton was not fake news, but entirely accurate reporting of the dishonest and deciteful nature of her campsign. The real outrage here it is hackers who did the job that an honest media should have done. It is a sad day in Ameica when hakers and the Russians provide more accurate reportinhg than the American media. But fke news is now coming home to harm left-wing politicans. The mainline media has bcome so blatantly biased that conservative and independent Americns simply do not believe it any more. This proved to be a major actor in the Trump victory. Readers simply ihnored reports of Trump's picadillos even though some of thm were actually true. Fabrication

Sewieid's story proved to be a complete fabrication. It never occurred, none of it. She was not attacked or even yelled at. After questioning by New York Police Department (NYPD) detectives, Seweid admitted she was lying. She completely made up the story. The NYPD has charged Seweid with filing a false police report. But the story does not stop there. The mainline media of course has not run with the lie story like the way they did with Seweid's false charges. And this is not the only example of fabrication. A Tennessee Muslim reported an almpst identical charge and later admitted she was lying.

Islamic Intolerance

The mainline media has not run with the full story with any where near the massive atention they gave to Seweid's original false charges. Perhaps the most interesting part of the story is Seweid's motives. The mainline media's motives were obviously political. Seweid's motives, however were not political -- they were religious and family related. Her family continued the lie even when Seweid admitted she had made up the entire story. What her family was angry about was that their daughter (no longer a minor) was daring to date a Catholic boy. So to punish her, they shaved her head. You will not read much about this in the mainline media because the only bias and intolerance that comes out of the affair is -- Islamic intolerance.

Mayor de Blsio

Mayor de Blasio who was immediately outraged by Seweid's original complaint and made public statements without waiting for confirmation, does not seem offened by the way her parents treated her. The Mayor is, however, spending city taxpayer funds to provide counseling and support services for city employees who are feeling 'distressed' or 'vulnerable' following the presidential election. The Mayor sent an e-Mail to city employees.

Amina and Sarah Said

Seweid may have been luckly just to get her head shaved by her parents. Honor killing is an an established practice throughout the Muslim world, especially the Arab world. And Arab immigrants have brought this practice to America. Two Texas teens, both hono students, were murdered by their Egyptian immigrant father father in an honor killing in the back of his taxi after they objected to an arranged marriage and accused him of abusing them. Amina Said, 18, and her sister Sarah, 17, were shot dead on New Year's Day in 2008. Their father left their bodies left in his cab at a hotel parking lot. Their father disappeared after their deaths. He is believed to have flown home to Egypt and is still wanted by the FBI.

An Ameriucan reader writes, "Yes, sadly the press in this country does want everyone to believe that we are a racist islamophobic country. Trump's victory was an example of white racism according to many in our media. While both extremes on the right and left commit crimes of hate the mainstream press seems to ignore those crimes when they are committed by those on the left. Obama called the parents of a would be cop killer Michael Brown but totally ignored the murder of Kate Steinly in San Francisco at the hands of an illegal immigrant which his policies protected. Hate mongers like Al Sharpton get their own TV shows on MSNBC and it is not only accepted, but welcomed in the White House. Imagine the hullabaloo if FOX gave someone like David Duke a show. People in this country are getting fed up with media bias which is one of the reasons that Trump won."

Fake Hate Crimes

Several readers have contacted us complaining that we have given undue attention to Yasmin Seweid and that we are chery pivking the news. They say that there are only a few such fake hate crimes in a tidal way of prejucice and attacks on minorities. And since the 2016 the situation has become worse because of President Trump. This this site which is compiling a data base of fake hate crimes to help assess if this phenomena is actually a minor distration or a real problem.
