Children in History: Myriam Monsenego (France, 1904?-12)

Islamic terrorism
Figure 1.-- Myriam Monsenego was a beautiful little Jewish girl murdered by Islamic terrorist Mohammed Merah. Myriam had an all to short life and deserves to be remembered as a pure inocence in the hands of unspeakable evil--evil motivated by Islamic teaching. You can say that Merah's Islamic beliefs were a misunderstanding or perversion of Islamic teachings, but there is no doubt he was schooled in Islam and motivated by his Islamic faith. And even more disturbing there is also no doubt that he was convinced that his unspeakable actions would inspire other Muslims.

One can say that he was crazed or wring about this and most voices in the Western media will take this line of thought. But of course Merah knew the Islamic world much better than the Western media pontification on his murder spree, many of whom are more worried about protecting Muslims from revenge cts than defending children like Myriam. Let us be clear here, we are not suggesting that the great proportion of Muslims are evil people. They are not. We are suggesting that terrifying numbers of Muslims (based on public opinion polls of Muslims) either support terrorism or show a degree of sympathy for terrorists. A few crazed terrorists might be explained away, but there are more than a few and much more diusturbing, the level of support or at least tolerance on the part of mainstream Muslims can not be explained. And this is something Western political leaders like Presiudent Sarkozy or President Obama refuse to speak out about.

Myriam Mosenegro (1904?-12)

Myriam Monsenego was a beautiful little Jewish girl murdered by Islamic terrorist Mohammed Merah. Myriam had an all to short life and deserves to be remembered as a pure inocence in the hands of unspeakable evil. A French reader writes, "Myriam Monsenero (2004-2012) a little French only 8 years old. Yes it is not more worse crime to kill a child! Myriam was a little Angel, now she will be for ever. One can't imagine she is dead. Don't forget the Rabbi's two sons too. They are Angels too."

Mohammed Merah (1989?-2012)

Mohammed Merah was an Algerian-born French citizen. He was picked up in Kandahar by Afghan police. They turned him over to the U.S. Army. The Americans put him on the first plane to France. When he was returned to France, he was interviewed by intelligence officials, who released him. Someone in France detected something was wrong with Menrah and creported him to the Department of Homeland Security. Thgey added his name to the “no fly’’ list. Menrah in France was a petty criminal on welfare. He was noted by French intelligence, but not closerly surveiled. “It is impossible to arrest someone just because he has Salafist views,” said French Interior Minister Claude Gueant, referring to Merah’s jihadist sympathies. “Holding a particular point of view is not a crime.”

The Murder (March 2012)

We know the precise details of Myriam's murder because incredibly French terrorist not only took video of him murdering Myriam, but uploaded his unspeaakable video on the internet. He shot a terrified Myrium at point blank range in her head. Myriam was murdered outside her Jewish school in Toulouse. He shot Myriam in front of her horrified mothe who was the principal of the school. Merah also killed a rabbi and the rabbi’s two sons at the school. Merah’s earlier victims were French paratroopers. The Islamic gunman was so proud of his achievemments that he posted videos on the internet. His video shows him killing the helpless, terrified 8-year-old girl. He yanked her by her hair with one hand and fired a bullet in her head with the other. French officials believe Merah strapped a video camera on before each murder so he would have a record of his actions. He posted these videos on Jihadi Web sites. French police shot and killed Menrah after a 32-hour standoff at an apartment building where he holed up.

Motivation

Before shooting the first soldier, Merah yelled, “You kill my brothers; I kill you!” — referring to France’s military presence in Afghanistan. Four days later, he shot two more soldiers, shouting, “Allahu akbar.” Merah's murder spree was was motivated by Islamic teaching. He believed that his actions would inspire other al Qaeda and other Jihadi wannabes. Merah before his rampage stockpiled weapons and tried to enlist fellow Muslims by showing snuff videos of other jihadis’ murderous work. It is unclear how many of these individuals, if any, reported this activity to French police.

Muslim Reaction

One can say that he was crazed or wring about this and most voices in the Western media will take this line of thought. But of course Merah knew the Islamic world much better than the Western media pontification on his murder spree, many of whom are more worried about protecting Muslims from revenge than defending children like Myriam. Let us be clear here, we are not suggesting that the great proportion of Muslims are evil people. They are not. We are suggesting that terrifying numbers of Muslims (based on public opinion polling of Muslims) either support terrorism or show a degree of sympathy for terrorists. A few crazed terrorists might be explained away, but there are more than a few and much more diusturbing, the level of support or at least tolerance on the part of mainstream Muslims can not be explained. Readers trying ton understand this should read the Koran which has a lot to say about both violence and other religions, especially the Jews. Merah’s equally devout older brother was quoted as saying that he was ‘very proud’ of what his brother had done. He lionized him as someone who fought for what he believed in.

Western Reaction

French police and the media immediately blamed neo-NAZIs for the crime. The French newspapers ran photos of neo-Nazis that they believed had committed the crimes. The police knew very quickly that the murderer used the same gun to kill the children that had been used to kill the soldiers. As in America, there is a general reluctance on thecpart of much of thec media to connect Muslims with terrorist acts. A teacher sparked outrage across France after calling for her pupils to observe a minute’s silence for the Toulouse serial killer. At Gustave Flaubert High School in Rouen, Normandy, Lorraine Collin, 56, described the 23-year-old who murdered seven including three children as himself being the ‘victim of an unhappy childhood’.

Western Leaders

This level of tolerance of evil among Muslims is something Western political leaders like Presiudent Sarkozy or President Obama refuse to speak out about. Instead, President Sarkozy's first reponse was to conduct an Obama-style apology pleading with French people to refrain from violence. One author writes, "Instead of Sarkozy pleading with his country’s citizens to control their anger, perhaps he should demonstrate some himself. At the very least, he could have identified the murders as hate crimes."

French Reaction

France at the time this killing spree occurred ws in the midst of an election. The candidates immediatelky began asking quetions. One French reader tells us, "Everything was done to find the terrorist; The plan 'Ecarlate' was triggered and 3 days later, the killer was found. This is the first time in France that the Ecarlate plan was triggered. Every minute the President Sarkozy followed the events. All Jews of France even Israel, endorsed our government's action. President Sarkozy spoke yesterday and asked for action against the readers and preachers of islamic terrorists on internet sites. He has asked the Parlement to enact new measures to fight Islamic terrorism. In fact all the French people, including muslims of France were horified and all have approved the government's action. Unfortunately, the terrorist could not be arrested alive, he was shot. Don't forget three French soldiers, three children and a adult were killed."

American Muslim Reaction

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is America's largest Muslim civil liberties advocacy organization. CAIR Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper issues a weekly update video. In the aftermath ofthe French shooting, we wondered how he would deal with the terrorist attack. Hooper simply ignored it. [Hooper] This is CAIR's usual approach to Islamicist terror attacks. Instead he complained about about an increasing number of restrictions on the construction of mosques in the United States. And he identified the reason, not concern over Islamicist attacks ion civilians, but American racism. CAIR ahd Hiiper tell us that American Islamophobia is at the root of the problem. Islamophobia is how CAIR convert entirelkyvreasonable fear of Islamic ahti-Semites as racism and that Americans sould be ashamed of themselves for having such fears. As one commentator puts it, "It’d be like attacking the Jews for being ‘Naziphobic.’" Hooper also complains that the New York Police Department (NYPD) is focusing on Muslim countries exclusively in its surveillance. This is being called as ‘racial profiling’ by CAIR and a good segment ofthe mainline media. The NYPD in itsxefforts to attack New York Jews including Jewish school children is simply identifying a groups withb string anti-Semitic sentiment. One observer asks, "If anti-Semitism is racist (it is), shouldn’t anti-Semites be racially profiled?" Here’s the video and for the record, it’s extremely telling because of what it DOESN’T address.
