Here we see the Breuitelle family in 1950. We know nothing about the family, but based on the size we would say they probanly are a devout Catholic family, likely living in a rural area. Rural families tended to be larger than rural families. The older boys all wear dark suits. We can't make out much detail in the portrait. They are probably long pants suits, but they could be knicker suits. One boy wears a short pants suit. The younger boys wear a shorts set and rompers. Notice several of the girls wear dresses made in the same material. This shows that mother made the children's clothes, at least the girls' clothes. The Breuitelles have an impressive 12 childre and given that the children seem to come once a year there may be more to come. Only the baby boy here is wearing rompers, but we notice other family photographs with the boys wearing rompers. This is one of the largest families archived on HBC. We notice who looks like the boy wearing belted shorts here, the next to yongest boy, wearing rompers in 1949. He has quite a fancy hair do that we do not see in the family portrait. We note a snapshot of two of the younger children a few months earlier.
