Charles (sitting on the ground in the right foreground) is only 4 years old and still apparently unbreached. Itis a little difficult to make out just what Charles is wearing, the white dress photographed in the summer sun pojects very little detail on the photographic image. Charles definitely is wearing a skirted garment. A best we can tell it is a white dress with a sailor collar and no colored detailing or even a silor scarfe. His hair has already been cut short.
