Figure 1.--This portrait shows Maria Gabriele with her three sons Luitpold, Albrecht, and Rudolf. The older boys wear satin suits. Rudolf wears a fancy white dress. He looks to be about 1 year old, meaning this portrait was taken about 1910.

Rudolf was born in 1909. Rudolf died in 1912 before he was even 3 years old. Available images show what looks to be a close family. Th photograph show Rudolf togethr with his older brother and mother. There are, however, few imges with their father--Crown Pince Rupprecht. Photographs show Rudolf wearing dresses. I do not believe he had been yet breached when he died. We do not know the circumstnces of his death. His mother died only a few years later.
