Austrian Royalty: Archduke Franz Karl Salvator (1893-1918)

Figure 1.--The portrait shows Archduke Franz Karl and Archduchess Elisabeth together in what we assume is Austrian folk dress, basically peasant dress. This was very popular with Austrian royals. We note Emperor Franz Josef in similar garb with his son Ruldolf, decaded earlier. The portrait was taken by Adèle, Vienna, Austria. The children look to be about 9-10 years old which means it was taken about 1902.
