Figure 1.--Here we see the 6 eme C class at the Lycee Lamoriciere in 1952. The bots are wearing casual jackets and sweaters. Most are wearing eith short pants or knickers. We are not sure when the class portrait was taken, but as the boys are wearing jackets it is presumably during the Fall. Notice that only one boy is wearing kneesocks. |
Boys at the school dressed casually. The yonger boys rarely wore suits and ties. We see casual jackets and ties. Most of the younger boys and even some of the mid-age boys in the early 1950s wearing knickers and short pants. Few boys wore kneesocks with shorts, but we notice a few in the colder months. We also notice boys wearing sandals in the ealy 1950s, something that was less common at the end of the decade.
