We see boys in 1954 waring the same casual styles we have noted earlier. The boys wear casual jackets and styles. We also note the boys wearing a variety of trousers, including short pants, knickers, and long pants. This vatied among the different classes. One class has boys wearing short and long pants, but we notice boys wearing knickers in another class. We note some boys wearing kneesocks, both with knickers and short pants. Most boys, however, wear ankle socks with short pants.
A French reader writes, "Notice that most of the boys wearing long pant were Algerian. The French boys were mostly wearing short pants.
Spmr very little Algerian boys wore shorts, but the older Algerain boys didn't like to wear shorts."
